From Morning Assembly to Classroom Adventures: Pankaj's School Story

Once upon a time, in a small town, there lived a student named Pankaj Galiotra. Pankaj was in the 10th class and was known for his dedication to his studies. However, on a particular day, June 10, 2023, Pankaj woke up feeling sick. He had a strong fever and a persistent cough.

Despite feeling unwell, Pankaj knew he had important tasks to complete. He had been working on his self-test notebook and needed to finish it in the morning. After waking up at 5:00 a.m., Pankaj, feeling exhausted but determined, sat down to complete his self-test notebook work. By 7:00 a.m., he successfully finished his work and took a short break, using his mobile phone for a few minutes.

After the break, Pankaj went to the toilet for about 20 minutes and then returned to his room. He washed his hands in the kitchen and had breakfast before proceeding to wash his hands and face at the drum. Following that, he wore his school uniform and went to the toilet for another 20 minutes. Pankaj had been experiencing a cough for several months, but it wasn't the cause of his illness that day.

Despite feeling extremely sick, Pankaj felt obligated to go to school. He embarked on his journey, making his way to Pandits Tanks. Along the way, he encountered no one and had no conversations. However, as he reached Pandits Tanks, he unexpectedly ran into his classmate, Vicky. Together, they joined the rest of their male classmates at the Panchayat Ghar's place.

While waiting there, their friend Shalbinder arrived after a while. He inquired about Pankaj's brother, Shalinder, and learned that he had received a score of 379 out of 500 in his 12th class exams, which were declared the previous day. Soon after, Pankaj and his classmates headed to the classroom.

Upon reaching the classroom, Sandeep Singh arrived with the attendance register, and the boys started attending the class. They realized that the morning assembly couldn't be conducted since some girls from their class had gone outside and discovered that students from other classes were already gathered there. Pankaj and his classmates decided to join the assembly, feeling it was important. They made their way to the assembly ground, where the 8th class students were singing the prayer. Four girls led the prayer, including Manjeet's sister, Babu, who did an excellent job hosting.

Shortly after, the chairman arrived at the school. After observing the prayer for a few minutes, he joined the assembly and delivered a speech to the students. He emphasized the importance of performing well in the upcoming unit tests. Next, the chairman asked the absent students from the previous day to stand up. Praveen and Abhishak stood up and explained their reasons for not attending school. Praveen mentioned that there was no one at home, while Abhishak stated that he was sick and had gone to Udhampur instead of attending school.

The chairman instructed the students to call their in-charge, Sandeep sir, with the attendance register, to inform him about the most frequently absent students. A girl named Riya went to the principal's office and informed Sandeep sir about the chairman's request. Sandeep sir came to the morning assembly with the attendance register and showed the chairman the names of the most absent students. These students were then separated from the main lines and asked to stand aside. The chairman imparted some moral lessons to them before allowing them to rejoin their classmates.

Following this, the chairman asked the boys from classes 10th and 9th to stay in the ground while the others were allowed to return to their classrooms after the prayer ended. The remaining boys cleared the ground from stones and polythene bags before heading back to their respective classrooms. In the math period, the class worked on exercise 8.3, completing all the questions and answers. Then, in the second period, A Hindi test was conducted by Punam mam. Pankaj made a few mistakes in the test but later helped his classmates, Shalbinder and Manjeet, with their tests.

During the English period, the students were given a freedom as their English teacher, Bheem sir, didn't come to school that day. Pankaj and his friends took advantage of the break and went for a walk on the road. Pankaj bought five toffees from a shop and shared them with his friends, Ankush and Praveen. Ankush was surprised by Pankaj's generosity and asked why he was giving him so many toffees. Pankaj replied that it was simply for their enjoyment.

After the break, Pankaj returned to the classroom and sat at the upside of the last desk. He briefly admired Sumit's drawing on a page before Ankush approached him. Ankush requested a science guide, and Pankaj happily provided it to him. Pankaj then began studying a science chapter titled "Carbon and its Compounds." Ankush asked Pankaj to write down the meanings of common English words in his diary, and Pankaj fulfilled his request by writing 20-30 word meanings for Ankush. As recess came to a close, Pankaj returned to his desk and resumed his position.

In the social studies period, Pankaj and his friend Arun shared 4-5 creative stories with each other, enjoying their time together. Suddenly, the chairman entered their classroom and advised the students against taking tuitions outside of school. He reassured them that they could ask their teachers any questions and clear their doubts immediately.

The chairman then asked Pankaj to close the classroom windows as the wind was blowing strongly, causing the windows to make noise by moving and touching each other. Pankaj complied, closing some of the windows. However, the chairman noticed one window that was still open and asked Pankaj to close it as well. Pankaj closed the window and returned to his original position.

In the science period, their science teacher, Small Bhim sir, reviewed the previous day's lesson and taught them more details about organic compounds and their types. After the science period, school ended for the day, and Pankaj headed to Rakeshwar's shop. He engaged in a conversation with Rakeshwar for a few minutes before parting ways.

While walking home, Pankaj encountered his classmate Ajita on the way. Ajita offered him some biscuits, and they walked slowly slowly . They discussed their Instagram followers and chatted about boys and girls for nearly an hour. Finally, Pankaj reached home at 5:11 p.m. He changed his uniform, had a light meal, and decided to take a nap. Despite wanting to write a blog about his day, Pankaj's illness prevented him from doing so. Instead, he resorted to using speech-to-text, but it didn't work well either. Eventually, he resorted to writing his blog using his fingers.
